Senior DevOps Engineer Application Integration (m/f/d)

At the IT department of Zürcher Kantonalbank, you will develop the technology of tomorrow together with around 1,000 colleagues – right in the heart of Zurich. In the Application Integration area, you ensure that applications within ZKB communicate smoothly with each other. With our event streaming platform, we are responsible for the new backbone for asynchronous communication across the entire bank. For this, we are looking for a committed individual with solid knowledge in software development with Spring Boot as well as Kubernetes. Ideally, you bring experience with Kafka and the event streaming world, think analytically, act proactively, and like to look beyond the horizon.

• Further develop the event streaming platform based on Confluent Kafka
• Develop and maintain integration solutions with Spring Boot
• Onboard and advise the DevOps teams in the area of event streaming
• Ensure stable operation of the central Kafka platform in line with the DevOps philosophy
• Participate in the entire lifecycle from idea through specification and story development to implementation, testing, and operation according to the principle "You build it, you run it"

• Completed education in computer science (FH level) or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in developing modern (web) applications
• Good knowledge of Spring Boot as well as operating solutions on Kubernetes
• Knowledge in the event streaming area, ideally with Apache Kafka or Confluent Kafka
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably with Azure, is a plus
• You convince with a quick grasp, high willingness to learn, and quality awareness
• You score with teamwork, sense of responsibility, and a solution-oriented approach
• Very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written
