The gastroenterology and hepatology department manages outpatients and inpatients on its technical platform for diagnostic and interventional endoscopy examinations in gastroenterology and pneumology.
Within the digestive and bronchial endoscopy unit, you will provide care for outpatients and inpatients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic examinations in a specialised technical environment.
You will welcome, inform and support patients throughout their care pathway, from preparation for the examination to post-interventional monitoring. You will provide nursing care during the pre-, peri- and post-examination phases, ensuring their safety, comfort and quality of care.
You will prepare the examination rooms and ensure the availability and proper functioning of the equipment and devices specific to digestive and bronchial endoscopy. You will assist doctors during various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including digestive and bronchial endoscopies and puncture-biopsies, providing the necessary instrumentation and technical support.
You will perform, monitor and assess sedations and pain management in collaboration with the medical team and in accordance with institutional protocols. You will participate in the reprocessing, disinfection and traceability of endoscopes in compliance with current hygiene and quality standards.
You will coordinate patient flow on the technical platform and in the recovery room, demonstrating autonomy, organisation, responsiveness and excellent prioritisation skills. You will ensure rigorous clinical monitoring and provide relevant handovers to promote continuity and safety of care. You will participate in on-call duties to ensure 24-hour emergency endoscopy coverage.
This role offers the opportunity to develop within a specialised, dynamic and innovative technical platform, working alongside multidisciplinary teams expert in gastroenterology and pneumology.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an equivalent recognised qualification by the Swiss Red Cross.
You have at least two years of experience in acute care. Experience in endoscopy is a real asset.
You have a strong interest in instrumentation and enjoy working in a specialised technical environment. Some examinations under scope require wearing a lead apron for several hours.
You demonstrate excellent adaptability, stress management, tact and anticipation skills. You appreciate working closely with the medical team as well as in a multidisciplinary team.
You are willing to undergo a progressive integration period including specific training until you acquire autonomy in all examinations performed within the unit, in order to be able to cover on-call shifts.
You have an excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written.

You will work day, night and weekend shifts according to the needs of the department.
