Welcome to the Aarberg parish
Our current head pastor is leaving Aarberg after almost 20 years of service.
Therefore, we are looking for a new
parish person approx. 70% for our manageable, family-friendly parish with the beautiful church in the town square starting in spring 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
General pastoral activities, occasional services in the weekly office system, possibly KUW teaching at the upper level (7th to 9th grade), close collaboration with the pastoral team and coordinating it. Participation in various working groups, occasional inter-parish pastoral engagements will complement your activities.
We look forward to a personality who is rooted in the Christian faith and holds meaningful, life-relevant services. Your joy in interacting with people of all
ages, and your willingness to approach them, is highly valued in our parish.
For solution-oriented teamwork, it is very helpful if you are well organized, familiar with digital tools, and appropriately communicative. If you want to actively shape the
future of our parish and are eligible for service in the Evangelical-Reformed Church of the Canton of Bern, we look forward to your application.
What you can expect from us is an active parish with a diverse range of offerings. A motivated team of pastors,
vergers, and catechists forms your professional colleagues. The very helpful secretariat, the open-minded and supportive parish council, as well as volunteers in various areas are happy to assist you.
The employment is based on cantonal guidelines.
