Exciting tasks await:
- You are responsible for the process of developing the cantonal task and financial plan as well as the annual report with annual accounts.
- You prepare text contributions and evaluations for the task and financial plan as well as for the annual report.
- You further develop our central financial controlling by using modern BI, automation and AI solutions.
- You take on the professional responsibility for our applications for financial planning (SAP Analytics Cloud) and task planning (MIS) and work closely with the application managers.
- You lead the interdepartmental committees for the specialist applications and support the departments with questions about the applications.
What you bring:
- University degree in business administration or a related field at master’s level
- Several years of experience in financial controlling in a larger organisation; public administration is an advantage
- Experience with BI, reporting and planning tools (SAP Analytics Cloud is an advantage); very good Excel skills
- Strong affinity for digitalisation, automation and AI as well as enthusiasm for continuously developing controlling processes and management instruments
- High analytical and conceptual skills
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style as well as a high service orientation and assertiveness

Your working environment
The Department of Finance and Resources with around 650 employees is a cross-sectional department responsible for ensuring that the canton has the resources necessary to fulfil its tasks.
The Finance Division is committed to a sustainable and balanced financial budget. It is responsible for the task and financial plan as well as the annual report with annual accounts, assesses financially relevant government business and develops financial policy and financial legal foundations. The division is also responsible for central participation management, cantonal accounting and the IT systems used in accounting and reporting. In addition, it is responsible for the central payment transactions and liquidity management of the canton.
