Zürcher Tierschutz is an independent, non-profit association. Since 1856, we have been committed to the protection of domestic, wild, fur, farm, and laboratory animals. The association operates an office and an animal shelter and is financed exclusively through donations and foundation contributions.

For our office, we are looking from February 2027 for a duration of nine months for:

Intern Animal Protection + Youth Work (60 - 100 %)

Your tasks:

• Preparation and implementation of youth animal protection programmes
• Creation of new youth animal protection content
• Assistance in the wildlife project "Exit ladders for amphibians"
• Animal protection research and writing texts for various channels
• Support with administration and public relations

You bring with you:

• University studies in the field of animals, nature or environment (at least at Bachelor level)
• Pedagogical knowledge or practical experience with children and young people
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form
• Enjoy researching and writing
• Independent, structured and careful way of working
• Friendly, open and communicative manner
• Confident use of Microsoft 365
• Availability until at least the end of October 2027

Advantageous:

• Experience in the field of pet keeping
• Creative flair and manual skills
• Good spoken English skills
