For our client, a technologically strong Swiss company in the Zurich ZH area, we are looking for a precise and independent individual as an Electrical Designer EPLAN / Control Panel Construction 80-100% (m/f).
In this role, the focus is on creating high-quality electrical schematics and technical documentation for controls, switchgear, and industrial systems. You will work in a structured manner within the ECAD system, support engineering projects, and ensure that technical documents are complete, comprehensible, and compliant with standards.
- Developing circuit diagrams, terminal plans, cable lists, parts lists, and control cabinet documentation
- Electrical design of controls, switching devices, sensors, actuators, and drive components
- Building and maintaining article data, macros, templates, and project documentation
- Technical clarifications with project management, automation, control cabinet construction, assembly, and purchasing
- Implementing changes from engineering, commissioning, production, or service
- Checking schematics for completeness, compliance with standards, and manufacturability
- Supporting standardisation, documentation quality, and process improvements
- Collaborating with internal specialist departments and external suppliers
- Experience in electrical design, schematic creation, control panel construction, or switchgear assembly
- Very good knowledge of EPLAN P8 is an advantage
- Understanding of control cabinet technology, control components, terminals, cables, sensors, and drives
- Experience with article data, macros, parts lists, and clean project documentation
- Knowledge of industrial standards and safety requirements is an advantage
- Precise, structured, and quality-conscious working style
- Enjoyment of clean technical documentation and clear electrical schematics
- Good German language skills, both spoken and written

Profile
- Completed training in electrical engineering, automation, or electrical planning- Experience in electrical design, schematic creation, control panel construction, or switchgear assembly
