Work rate: 5 hours per week
Schedule:
- Tuesdays from 4:45 pm to 6 pm at the secondary school/college (students aged 12 to 15)

Our bilingual private school/college (French–English) La Découverte, located in Geneva and Mies, welcomes children in a stimulating, demanding and caring environment. We place as much importance on academic learning as on the development of social, emotional and relational skills.
To complete our educational team, we are looking for a Spanish teacher who shares these values and wishes to contribute to providing children/adolescents with a safe, warm and conducive environment for their development.
Your mission
As part of our extracurricular activities, we are looking for a Spanish teacher to join our team from the start of the school year, beginning the week of 24 August 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading fun and interactive Spanish classes for students across our three campuses.
At primary level, through games, songs, stories and playful activities, introduce children to the Spanish language in a natural and enjoyable way. Offer a workshop that allows them to enrich their vocabulary, develop their listening comprehension and open up to a new culture, all while enjoying learning.
At secondary school level, through a mix of conversation, cultural exploration, grammar practice and creative projects, help students strengthen their language skills in a dynamic and inclusive environment. You will be expected to develop in students the confidence needed to speak and express their ideas, whether they are still expanding their vocabulary or already fluent in the language.
Your profile
You are a person who:
- is a native Spanish speaker or has an excellent level of Spanish;
- has experience in teaching, ideally with children and adolescents;
- is warm, dynamic and reliable;
- is able to set clear boundaries with kindness;
- is comfortable managing a group of children/adolescents;
- is creative, proactive and able to take initiative;
- is sensitive to the development of children’s socio-emotional skills;
- is available at the indicated times.
Training in childhood education, animation, education or social work is required.
Knowledge of French or English is appreciated in the bilingual context of our institution.
We offer
- a committed, welcoming and collaborative team;
- a human-scale working environment;
- a school that places well-being and cooperation at the heart of its educational project;
- opportunities to actively participate in the life of the school and its development;
- a stimulating and caring working environment.
