Your profile

• You have completed training or further education in computer science, business informatics, system technology, or a related technical field
• You bring several years of experience in IT operations, IT support, system engineering, or a comparable role
• Ideally, you have experience in technical or personnel leadership and still enjoy staying operationally close to the system and support
• You are familiar with workplace, server, network, communication, and software environments as well as cloud systems
• You are knowledgeable in IT service management, change management, problem management, backup, recovery, and escalation processes
• You have a good understanding of information security, data protection, access control, and technical risks
• You work in a structured, solution-oriented, and service-conscious manner, even when things get urgent or complex
• You communicate very well in German and well in English (level B1/B2) and explain technical topics clearly

Your tasks

You combine leadership, operations, customer needs, and technical implementation. You not only organise but actively participate: setting up systems, analysing faults, implementing changes, and improving processes. With your clear prioritisation, technical understanding, and service-oriented attitude, you ensure that IT & Hosting functions reliably in everyday life.

• You lead and develop the IT team purposefully, set priorities in daily operations, and support where your technical know-how is needed
• You ensure the stable, secure, and efficient operation of workplace, server, network, communication, cloud, and hosting services and actively participate in configuration, analysis, and implementation
• You analyse faults with the team, help with their resolution, coordinate changes and releases, and ensure that insights lead to sustainable improvements
• You plan and prioritise IT projects, technical introductions, and optimisations and take on concrete implementation tasks if necessary
• You define and maintain operational processes, checklists, and documentation for IT operations and ensure they are practically applied in daily work
• You work closely with the CISO and ensure that requirements for information security, data protection, and access control are implemented in operations
• You are the central contact person for hosting customers, prepare offers for hosting services, and ensure transparent, solution-oriented communication
• You represent BBT’s interests towards the group’s IT organisation and coordinate standards, dependencies, priorities, and escalations
