Finance Specialist 80% (Deputy to the Head of Finance)
In the Finance Department, the threads of the various departments of the municipality, the municipal utilities, the school community, and the reformed church community come together. To complement our small team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and team-oriented personality.
Finance Specialist 80% (Deputy to the Head of Finance)
Your tasks
- Perform monthly and quarterly postings, reconciliations, and settlements (e.g. VAT, withholding tax, KliB, current account and taxes for the accounting of the political municipality, utilities and reformed church community)
- Import invoices, check and post settlements for day care structures and school and ski camps in the education sector
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting of the utilities
- Support in other areas of the Finance Department such as management of loss certificates, budget and year-end closing work, perform IKS controls and create and post general ledger entries
Your profile
- Commercial basic training (preferably at a Zurich city or municipal administration)
- Sound expertise in accounting
- Further training in the financial sector (e.g. specialist in finance and accounting with a federal diploma, Professional Bachelor)
- A flair for numbers and interest in financial legal issues
- Independent, precise, reliable and efficient working style with a high sense of responsibility
- Networked thinking and service-oriented action
- Absolute discretion
- Very good IT skills (MS Office and preferably ABACUS)
