About the job
The library, with its 40 staff members, is the recognised centre of expertise for scientific information provision at HSG. We offer a place for meeting and learning. We align our services with our target groups and continuously develop them.
We offer our users:- 80 opening hours per week
- Individual consultations and courses
- approx. 500,000 physical media
- approx. 500,000 electronic media
- over 100 databases
Your tasks
- You support our users with media loans, provide information and give introductions.
- You acquire physical and electronic media and record them in our library system.
- You assist with magazine tasks: returning media to the shelves, scanning articles, preparing media.
- You support the management of the HSG Library's social media channels.
- You collaborate on ongoing projects.
Your profile
- You have completed the Matura or a vocational apprenticeship with vocational baccalaureate.
- You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library / Information Science or are aiming to do so.
- You are sociable and communicative.
- You are interested in the practical work of a scientific library.
- You are enthusiastic about information technologies and new media.
- You have good German and English skills.
