A Public Security Assistant (Permanent Contract, Full-Time)

Police Lavaux is an association of six municipalities in the Lavaux-Oron district, namely Bourg-en-Lavaux, Chexbres, Lutry, Puidoux, Rivaz and Saint-Saphorin, whose main mission is to ensure the protection of people and property in the area.

To strengthen its workforce, it is looking for a candidate for a date to be agreed upon:

General Duties

• Ensure compliance with laws and municipal regulations, carry out parking zone controls and report offences
• Provide a preventive, deterrent, repressive and security presence
• Manage and regulate traffic during demonstrations and special events
• Provide the public with general information
• Integrate fully into a regional community police force
• Perform the administrative work inherent to the role
• Conduct speed checks

Profile sought

• Federal certificate of capacity or equivalent qualification
• Holder of the public security assistant certificate
• Radar operator desired (training can be done on the job)
• Category B driving licence required (A desired)
• Proficiency in IT tools required
• Sense of public service
• Impeccable reputation
• Good interpersonal skills
• Proactive and reactive by nature
• Excellent physical condition
• Able to carry out foot patrols in all weather conditions
• Availability and flexibility (presence sometimes required at weekends and/or evenings)
