What you can contribute to
- Intervene on the airport site and its surroundings in the areas of: 3-minute rescue standby, fire service, Aircraft Recovery, medical emergency and lake rescue
- Handle and restore airport rescue vehicles and intervention equipment
- Carry out runway inspections to ensure Flight Safety (FOD control, bird scaring and animal hazard prevention)
- Check the operation of aircraft emergency stop systems
- Participate in training and deployments in Switzerland and abroad
- Work in a team in 24/7 rotating shifts to guarantee air police deployments and take part in standby service
What makes you unique
- Holder of a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) (in a technical field is an advantage)
- Experience in a fire brigade and wearer of respiratory protection equipment
- Possession of a driving licence category C or at least C1 118
- Completed military service
- Very good health and physical condition (medical and fitness tests)

The Operations Command (cdmt Op) is responsible for all operations and military deployments of the Swiss Army. The cdmt Op includes the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT Competence Centre, the Special Forces Command and the Military Police.
