Head of Adult Protection at Breitenstein Centre in Andelfingen 80%The Office for Youth and Career Counselling of the Education Directorate provides, commissions, manages and coordinates services for child and youth welfare and career counselling. The Breitenstein Centre is part of the Office for Youth and Career Counselling and is supported and co-financed by the municipalities of the Andelfingen district.
The Breitenstein Centre provides social services in the areas of child and adult protection, personal assistance, counselling and prevention for the population of the Andelfingen district. The offer is aimed at families, young people and children as well as adults with special needs, social difficulties and/or addiction problems.
The Breitenstein Centre is looking for a Head of Adult Protection 80% from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.
Together with your team, you will manage guardianships for adults ordered by the KESB Winterthur-Andelfingen for 22 municipalities in the Andelfingen district. In addition, you offer personal assistance on behalf of individual municipalities. The self-determination and personal responsibility of the clients are always paramount.
Your tasks
- Professional, organisational and personnel management of the Adult Protection department with nine specialists
- Responsibility for professional coaching as well as case and performance management
- Participation in the further development of the organisation
- Cooperation with and coordination of internal and external bodies
Your profile
- Bachelor or Master in Social Work as well as further training in the field of adult protection and management
- Solid professional experience in mandate management, knowledge of social insurance law as well as personal and family law
- Several years of management experience
- Confident appearance, strong moderation and conflict resolution skills
