We are seeking a Public Health M&E Specialist to support public health monitoring, evaluation, and performance measurement activities across large-scale health programmes. The role focuses on strengthening M&E frameworks, improving data quality, and supporting the effective use of performance data for decision-making.
Working closely with public health, epidemiology, and programme teams, you will help develop and update M&E guidance, tools, and reporting systems, while coordinating inputs across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and revision of public health M&E frameworks, indicators, and guidance
- Coordinate feedback from public health, M&E, and technical teams to ensure consistency and quality
- Contribute to the enhancement of performance frameworks and reporting templates
- Support data quality assurance processes, including reviews and consistency checks
- Assist with M&E system and tool improvements across the programme lifecycle
- Provide guidance and troubleshooting on programmatic data reporting tools
- Prepare analytical reports, presentations, and learning materials for internal stakeholders
- Support knowledge sharing, training sessions, and stakeholder meetings
- Contribute to ongoing public health measurement and evaluation initiatives
Required Profile
- University degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field
- 3-5 years' experience in monitoring & evaluation, data analysis, or health information systems
- Strong understanding of public health measurement and performance monitoring
- Proven experience working with data, indicators, and reporting frameworks
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to track changes across complex documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work across teams and manage multiple stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Design
- Monitor processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements.
- Update procedures, process maps, and RACIs as workflows evolve.
- Identify automation and simplification opportunities throughout the cycle.
Systems Solutions & Support
- Consolidate lessons learned and recommend system enhancements.
- Lead business requirements and user"‘story development for new features.
- Prepare and coordinate UAT/SIT activities.
- Provide ongoing support to system users, troubleshoot issues, and manage SNOW tickets.
- Track recurring issues and coordinate with technical teams on long-term fixes
- Develop change management materials (FAQs, SOPs, guides).
- Deliver trainings, clinics, and webinars to strengthen user knowledge.
- Serve as a subject"‘matter expert for system functionalities related to funding and grant submission stages.
Your Profile:
- University degree in business administration, finance, IT, engineering, or related field.
- Experience in:
- Business process analysis and improvement
- Project management
- Cross"‘functional coordination
- Functional design of business IT solutions
- Strong understanding of grant management workflows, including review, approval, and submission stages.
- Ability to support Grant Management Country Teams during funding request and grant submission, ensuring timely and high"‘quality completion of key processes.
- Familiarity with grant"‘related systems (e.g., GOS modules such as PF, budgets, PAAR, TRP/GAC submissions).
- Systems support for end"‘users
- Excellent communication skills in English.
