Eben-Hézer Lausanne has been welcoming and supporting people with intellectual disabilities for 125 years. To complete the educational team of the DRAKKAR group, a living space for 7 residents with intellectual disabilities and associated psychiatric disorders, we are looking for a Qualified Social Educator (M/F) with a workload of 50%-70%.
Mission
You actively contribute to the well-being of these individuals and ensure they achieve the greatest possible autonomy. You guarantee socio-educational support as well as health care. You aim for the development and maintenance of their skills. You support their social integration. You also accompany them as they age. This mission is carried out within a multidisciplinary team and in collaboration with the social network.
Responsibilities
Design and implement individual and collective socio-educational support
Provide assistance to residents with basic care and daily living activities
Perform delegated care and medical-technical acts in accordance with your level of competence
Participate in the selection, organisation and facilitation of leisure and recreational activities
Work interdisciplinarily to develop educational strategies adapted to the needs of residents
Encourage the integration of the resident’s family and close ones in the development and monitoring of their individual plan; actively collaborate with internal and external networks
Carry out administrative tasks related to residents and the educational team
Desired Profile
Degree in social education ES - HES or CFC in social care
Significant experience in the field of intellectual disability and/or psychiatry
Interest in individualised support and regular coordination of group activities
Strong motivation for developing new educational initiatives and interest in diversifying skills
Ease in teamwork and communication, task organisation; reliability
Good knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office programmes
Category B driving licence required

Permanent contract.
Irregular hours, weekend work on a rota basis, participation in camps.
