About the job

Do you combine solid knowledge in payroll, social security, and SAP HCM with enthusiasm for IT projects and a strong service orientation? Are you interested both in the strategic development of systems and the reliable handling of daily payroll operations? Then you are in the right place with us.

As the head of the SAP HCM specialist unit, you will take responsibility from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement, together with two employees, to ensure that the city-wide SAP HCM system and the monthly payroll processing for around 7,500 employees function reliably, correctly, and on time. You will operate at the interface of HR, IT, and the specialist department, advise the departmental personnel offices, and actively shape the further development of our HR system landscape.

Your tasks

Leading the SAP HCM specialist unit with two employees
Overall responsibility for the city-wide SAP HCM system, taking into account professional and technical requirements
Solution-oriented advice and support for the departmental personnel offices including 2nd-level support
Maintenance, support, and continuous development of the SAP HCM system
Leading projects in the area of payroll and related systems

Your profile

Bachelor’s degree or comparable qualification in business informatics plus further training in social security and project management
Extensive experience with IT projects in payroll and a strong understanding of professional and technical contexts
Very good SAP HCM knowledge including 2nd-level support; customising is an advantage
High service orientation as well as structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
At least 4-6 years of leadership experience
