Our Process Analytics MTPRO division is a global pioneer in the development and production of field instruments for analysing liquids and gases in the process industry. At our headquarters in Urdorf, we develop high-quality sensors to optimise and control production processes, which we distribute worldwide through our own market organisations. To strengthen our research and development team, we are looking for a motivated leader as Manager Optical Sensors R&D 100% (all genders). In this key role, you will take on the technical and personnel management of our optical sensors team and actively shape the development of the next generation of innovative sensor solutions. In this role, you will undertake the following tasks: You lead the "Optical Sensors" team and ensure the effective use of available resources. You bear overall responsibility for the development and lifecycle management of our optical sensor products. You manage and prioritise projects, change requests, quality improvements, and other development activities. You act as the technical contact person for optical sensor products and support your team as well as adjacent departments with your expertise. You lead selected complex development projects and ensure compliance with goals, schedules, quality standards, and budgets. You monitor technological developments and market trends in optics and measurement technology and identify potential for future product innovations. You continuously develop a high-performing team, promote talents, support succession planning, and recruit suitable specialists for your team. You establish and promote best practices in problem-solving, measurement technology, project management, quality control, and testing. You ensure effective knowledge management as well as up-to-date and complete technical documentation. You guarantee the safe, compliant, and efficient use of all facilities and equipment in the optics competence area.
