Production Team Coordinator Tooling Management
Purpose of the Role
The Tooling Coordinator supports the efficient management of tooling and ensures the timely availability of tools for production. The role coordinates daily operations, monitors maintenance and repair activities, and assists the team with technical and organisational matters. Additionally, it contributes to compliance with quality and safety standards and represents the Team Leader in their absence.
Responsibilities
- Coordination of daily activities in the tooling management area
- Ensuring the timely provision of tools and equipment for production
- Technical support and supervision of employees in the tooling area
- Monitoring maintenance, repair, and calibration activities
- Assisting in prioritising tool requests and resources
- Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and process requirements
- Conducting or supporting shopfloor meetings
- Escalating technical or capacity issues to the Team Leader
- Supporting the onboarding of new employees
- Participating in lean, continuous improvement, and optimisation projects
- Deputising for the Team Leader during their absence
Qualifications
- Technical basic training, preferably in mechanics, toolmaking, production technology, or mechanical engineering
- Several years of experience in tooling management, manufacturing, or maintenance
- Good understanding of tool life cycles, maintenance processes, and production workflows
- Strong organisational skills and a structured working style
- High customer and service orientation towards internal production areas
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Experience with ERP systems and common office applications is an advantage
