Your Tasks
Java architecture meets AI-supported development: At ELCA in Bern, you build large Java applications from scratch – and help shape how we responsibly use AI coding tools and LLM architectures in the enterprise environment.
Your Role
- You develop Java applications from scratch with business and engineering teams, supported by AI-assisted development tools
- You accompany teams end-to-end: conception, requirements, architecture, implementation, delivery
- You advise our clients technologically and architecturally – including LLM-integrated architectures
- You support pre-sales in tenders and proof-of-concepts
- You help develop our architecture practice and our AI governance standards group-wide

Your Profile
- 6+ years of experience in designing and implementing large Java applications
- Spring / Spring Boot, JPA / Hibernate, Maven / Gradle
- Integration patterns: REST, messaging, publish-subscribe, sync vs async
Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, CI/CD and DevOps - Experience with AI-assisted development (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and LLM-based features (RAG, tool use, agentic loops, MCP)
Very good German and English skills
