Your main activities
As a Quality Specialist, you are a key element of the operational quality team. Your role is to identify recurring non-quality issues, prioritise them, analyse them and find their root causes, in order to implement corrective and preventive action plans. This is in line with our quality management system.
Furthermore, you provide support to the QCO team for the inspection of parts produced internally and externally.
As second-in-command for the mechanical part, you act as backup for the QCO Team Leader. You also support quality process analyses and actively promote continuous improvement on a daily basis.
- Parts conformity: You inspect parts manufactured internally and by our suppliers. You know how to select and use the appropriate measuring instruments for each measurement.
- Control plan: You analyse and apply control plans ensuring their compliance with quality requirements. You are also involved in implementing new control plans (if necessary).
- Non-conformity management & problem solving: You take charge of managing non-conformities, from identification to the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. You also analyse potential and root causes and propose long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Inspection of tools and measuring equipment: You support the management of measuring instruments: maintenance, calibration, adjustment of periodicity, evaluation of new external providers.
- Interdepartmental collaboration: You actively collaborate with the machining, assembly, methods, technical office departments as well as with purchasing within the scope of your activities.
- Regulatory and standards monitoring: You ensure that all internal processes always comply with the quality standards followed by the company.
- Team Leader replacement: In the absence of the Team Leader, you take charge of managing the daily activities of the mechanical QCO.
Your profile
- Mandatory training: Federal VET Diploma in mechanics (polymechanic, industrial draughtsman or equivalent).
- Mandatory experience:
- Experience in mechanics (machining, assembly, etc.): Minimum 2 years practice.
- Quality control: Minimum 2 years practice.
- Problem solving & NC management: Minimum 2 years practice (can be combined with the previous 2 points). Evidence of experience and results in problem-solving methodologies in an industrial environment.
- Inter-team collaboration: Evidence of experience in monitoring and implementing reactive and preventive action plans.
- Technical skills: Expertise in the use of measuring tools and quality control techniques: 3D programming, conventional measuring instruments. Proficiency in reading technical drawings.
- IT skills: Good command of office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP is an advantage. Knowledge of quality management software / measuring instrument management / control plan management is an advantage.
- Language skills: Proficiency in French and knowledge of English.
- Precision and rigour: Sharp sense of precision and ability to make informed quality decisions.
- Logical mind and problem-solving skills: Strong ability to analyse complex technical situations, listen to different interlocutors and synthesise learning into a clear action plan.
- Autonomy and priority management: Ability to manage time and priorities even under heavy workload. Effective communication with hierarchy. Ability to make technical decisions but also to escalate issues when necessary.
- Dynamism and attitude: Eager to work, naturally curious, seeking to solve problems. Communication skills with different types of interlocutors.
