Assekuranz AR insures all buildings and properties in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden mandatorily against fire and natural hazard damage as an independent, public-law company. It is also responsible for sovereign fire protection and the fire brigade system.

Managing Director (80 - 100 %)
Your tasks
- Operational overall management of Assekuranz AR with the areas of building and property insurance, fire and natural hazard prevention, as well as fire brigade concept and training
- Quality assurance of the subordinate departments as well as leadership and development of around 30 employees (including claims and fire brigade instructors)
- Further development and implementation of strategic measures to ensure the long-term security and positioning of Assekuranz AR
- Representation of the company externally and ensuring comprehensive customer care.
Your profile
- Completed studies in business administration or engineering
- Expert knowledge in the specialist areas (insurance / construction / fire protection)
- Several years of professional and management experience at the executive level
- Proven knowledge in the areas of corporate management, finance / controlling, public safety and public service
- Ability to take on demanding leadership and organizational tasks
- Customer-oriented personality with excellent communication skills, good expressiveness, and a broad local network
- Proven experience in the further development and digitization of business processes as well as in the efficient use of modern IT solutions.
