- Responsibility for all natural hazard topics within the railway infrastructure
- Planning, coordination and implementation of measures to protect against natural hazards
- Leading projects and contributing expertise to cross-departmental initiatives
- Close collaboration with internal specialist departments, authorities and external partners
- Participation in environmental issues and shaping a safe railway infrastructure as well as sustainable environmental protection
- Shaping sustainable solutions with visible impact for the Centralbahn railway gem
The experience you bring with you
- University degree in (engineering) geology, environmental natural sciences, environmental engineering or a comparable field
- Solid experience in integrated natural hazard management
- Strategic thinking and experience in handling conceptual and operational natural hazard topics
- Pragmatic, independent working style with willingness to go into detail when necessary
- In-depth knowledge in planning, controlling and monitoring measures, inspections and maintenance work
- Ability to assess natural hazards and evaluate risks for safe railway operations
- Enjoy working with internal and external stakeholders
- Enjoy developing the natural hazard specialist area independently
- Confidence in moving and working in the field
- Interest in further developing the natural hazard topic in our GIS
- Knowledge of other environmental topics related to railway infrastructure is an advantage,
