Do you want to give a new dimension to your HSE career and play a key role in safety, prevention and continuous improvement of an industrial site?

Our client, an industrial company located in the canton of Fribourg, is looking for an HSE Manager to take charge of the site's HSE strategy and support the teams in developing a genuine safety culture.

You will not simply be responsible for enforcing procedures: you will be a true partner to management and operational teams.

Your role

As HSE Manager, you are the company’s point of contact for all matters related to health, safety and the environment.

Your main responsibilities:

Define and deploy the HSE strategy in collaboration with management.
Identify risks and implement concrete prevention actions.
Conduct risk analyses, audits and on-site inspections.
Monitor accidents, incidents and near-misses.
Define and manage corrective and preventive action plans.
Raise awareness, train and support employees on a daily basis.
Develop a strong safety culture within the company.
Ensure compliance with Swiss legal and regulatory requirements.
Implement and monitor HSE KPIs and present results to management.
Actively participate in industrial projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with production, maintenance, HR and various company departments.

Your profile

You are a hands-on HSE professional, able to bridge regulatory requirements and operational realities.

Ideally, you have:

A higher education degree in HSE, occupational safety, environment, engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience in an HSE role, ideally in an industrial environment.
Good knowledge of Swiss occupational health and safety legislation.
Experience in risk analysis, audits and incident management.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to persuade and unite.
A pragmatic, autonomous and solution-oriented mindset.
A proactive, rigorous personality close to the field.
Excellent command of French.
Good knowledge of English.
German language skills are an asset but not essential.
