The position is attached to the Operations Department . This department's mission is to ensure the stewardship and logistics necessary for the smooth running of all HUG services, in terms of catering, cleaning and disinfection of premises, and laundry hygiene. It also manages the sterilisation service, the biomedical and equipment service, as well as Cressy-Santé. More than 1,350 professionals carry out their duties daily with constant attention to quality, a sense of service, and environmental responsibility.

The Biomedical & Equipment Service, composed of 50 collaborators, is responsible for managing the medical equipment fleet of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). Its main functions include technological and regulatory monitoring, investment planning, prescription, acquisition, and maintenance of medical equipment. Furthermore, this service implements and monitors material vigilance prescriptions (the head of service is the HUG material vigilance correspondent with SwissMedic).

The Biomedical Quality Sector includes 2 quality managers, under the responsibility of the head of service.

As part of your role, you assist the quality manager of the biomedical and equipment service (SBE) in the material vigilance activity (monitoring concerning Medical Devices) for which the SBE is responsible. The activity requires support in data processing and incident management.

Under the supervision of the Quality Sector Manager and in collaboration with the quality manager, you handle tasks related to quality and material vigilance functions involving traceability and operational follow-up of incoming and outgoing alerts. You ensure the entry and follow-up of incidents until their closure using Outlook, Excel, and Ennov tools. You analyse and relay instructions to the material vigilance correspondents.

You prepare Swissmedic announcements using the dedicated form for material vigilance correspondents. You are responsible for supplier quality assurance.

You disseminate safety notifications concerning the HUG (batch recalls/software updates/cybersecurity, etc.).

You guarantee exchanges and communication with quality managers for incoming and outgoing material vigilance alerts.

You prepare and co-chair the Material Vigilance Commission meetings in collaboration with the material vigilance unit.

You provide assistance and support in resolving Serious Adverse Events (EIG) on behalf of the General Management.

You support and methodically organise the activities of the material vigilance unit (indicators, traceability, satisfaction surveys, risk assessment, communication, training, etc.).

You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent diploma complemented by a professional maturity certificate.

You have two years of experience in a hospital-related company.

Experience in a similar role is a considerable asset.

You are proficient with IT tools (Excel, specific software, etc.) and have knowledge related to the Quality process and continuous improvement. You possess general knowledge of Medical Devices (standards, regulations, etc.).

You demonstrate organisation, rigour, autonomy, and structure. You also have good analytical skills that allow you to present your observations and conclusions clearly.

Your ease in communication facilitates your interactions internally and externally.

English is an asset.
