With nearly 1,200 employees, the Department of Acute Medicine (D-MA) includes the departments of anaesthesiology, clinical pharmacology and toxicology, adult intensive care, and adult emergency services. It fulfils a fourfold mission through its services, which provide expertise in frequent interaction with the entire Geneva University Hospitals, thanks to a transversal platform, with the aim of ensuring the best possible care for patients.
The Intensive Care Unit cares for adult patients who present or are at immediate risk of developing vital organ failure due to a pathology or its complications, whether medical or surgical, and whose life is generally at risk. It also advises and intervenes when necessary during resuscitation situations in other HUG departments and participates in urgent hospital interventions.
Job Description
As part of a reorganisation in a context of continuous improvement of the quality of work life for professionals and the quality of care for patients, we are strengthening our adult intensive care medical team (resuscitation).
In this new organisation, conducive to a work-life balance, you will be responsible for the care of patients in the adult intensive care unit (resuscitation) and actively participate in the training and supervision of the department's junior doctors, research activities, as well as the development of intensive care medicine.
Qualifications
You hold the federal medical diploma or an equivalent recognised by the FOPH (MEBEKO) and the right to practise in the canton of Geneva. A specialty title in intensive care medicine is an advantage.
For non-French-speaking candidates, a certified C1 level is required.
You have a minimum of two to three years’ experience in intensive care medicine, resuscitation, or anaesthesiology.
You are confident in communication, open-minded, a good listener, and have a capacity for synthesis.
You are a dynamic, flexible, enthusiastic, discreet, and tenacious person.
