We are looking for the Head of Modernisation German-speaking Switzerland within the "Buildings" Division. Your workplace will be our headquarters "Connect" in Opfikon .
Function
You report to the overall Head of Modernisation and support them in managing the modernisation unit in the ZH, NW and Central regions, which offers building modernisations from the initial idea to completion.
Responsibilities of the position
You are responsible for acquisitions of renovation projects of various sizes in the described region. You manage projects for demanding renovations. You identify buildings requiring upgrades and prepare corresponding property diagnoses. You are responsible for the department's finances and monitor project execution with the project team. You lead approximately 20 employees, partly matrix-organised. You act as an Implenia Ambassador in the market and, in this context, maintain and expand relationships with various external partners. You contribute to the development and integration of the strategy at the regional level. You prepare the business plan and budget for your region and monitor the development and ensure compliance with financial targets. You critically review and question planning and resource deployment and conduct appropriate management controls according to group guidelines. You ensure the entrepreneurial success of the region, set financial goals and results, and track acquisition development. You embody Implenia's four corporate values and represent them both internally and externally.
Your impact
- Develops and implements the business unit strategy at the regional level
- Prepares the business plan for the region including resource planning and budget, monitors development and is responsible for compliance
- Has overall responsibility for the region's P&L
- Reviews resource planning and deployment of teams
- Implements financial controlling according to group requirements
- Maintains leadership principles and Implenia's corporate culture
- Ensures risk management and enforces it in the region
- Responsible for order procurement including plausibility checks for complex tender submissions
- Recognises customer needs, interprets them, has contracts drafted (integral), negotiates and concludes them according to Implenia's competence matrix
- Actively maintains connections with potential clients, builders, customers, investors, business representatives, associations, authorities and contractors
- Ensures compliance with processes according to IMS 2.0
- Implements group directives and goals, represents and lives them (e.g. Code of Conduct)
- Responsible for staff training in the region, in coordination with HR
- Ensures portfolio evaluations in the region in coordination with HR
- Actively reviews and promotes succession planning in the region
- Leads and coaches directly reporting employees
Why you will succeed
- Architect ETH / FH
- Civil Engineer ETH / FH
- Additional training in business administration or equivalent (EMBA) FH
- Additional training in construction project management or MAS construction management
- 5 – 10 years as Head of Execution / Team Leader or equivalent role
- At least 6 – 8 years of leadership experience with teams > 50 employees
- Experience in refurbishment or as project manager for new builds
- 5 years experience in general contracting environment
- Proven execution generalist
- Comprehensive business management knowledge
- Proven networker (internal/external)
