The Nature Conservation Office is the authority responsible for nature conservation and biodiversity in the Canton of Zurich within the Office for Landscape and Nature of the Building Department. The staff are committed to the preservation of valuable habitats and work to ensure that humans and nature coexist successfully in the economically strong Canton of Zurich.
Your tasks
- You accompany and lead networking projects in the Canton of Zurich, provide advice and take on all administrative tasks related to them.
- You contribute to the development and implementation of the project "Regional Biodiversity and Landscape Quality".
- You participate in promoting the quality of biodiversity in agriculture.
- You handle data-technical questions in the professional context.
Your profile
- You have a completed Master’s degree, preferably in Biology or Environmental Natural Sciences.
- You bring in-depth knowledge of ecology and several years of professional experience in the fields of biodiversity and agricultural policy as well as applied nature conservation.
- GIS is your strength – from application through data management to organisational tasks.
- You have experience in project management, work in a structured manner and keep an overview even with complex tasks.
- You communicate clearly, negotiate skilfully and present yourself confidently.
