Integrated at the heart of a major recognised institution, the hospital of the Lavigny Institution is one of the reference centres in the Romandy region for patients with brain injuries requiring neurological rehabilitation, or suffering from difficult-to-treat epilepsy.
Opened since 1 July 2024, the University Neurorehabilitation Service (SUN) is an innovative structure linking two institutions, the CHUV and the Lavigny Hospital. With 75 beds and nearly 200 collaborators, the SUN provides highly specialised and interdisciplinary care in academic neurorehabilitation, for more than 500 inpatients and nearly 2000 outpatients per year.

Within the medical secretariat team of the Lavigny Hospital Department, we are looking for a:
Medical Secretary at 80%
Your mission:
Within our medical secretariat, you contribute to the smooth administrative and organisational running of hospital activities, ensuring quality support for patients, residents and various healthcare professionals.
Your main responsibilities:
- Ensure the registration and follow-up of hospital admission requests;
- Manage, monitor and control financial guarantees with insurers as well as requests for extension of stay;
- Organise and coordinate internal and external medical transports, notably for patient and resident appointments;
- Manage medical schedules and appointment planning;
- Ensure the telephone reception of the secretariat in collaboration with the team;
- Welcome and direct patients, residents, their relatives and various interlocutors;
- Type and format medical reports, letters and other medical documents;
- Ensure the follow-up of billing processes in various IT tools;
- Keep statistics and administrative procedures of the secretariat up to date;
- Work closely with doctors, care teams and various internal and external partners.
Your profile:
- A medical secretary training or commercial/administrative training, ideally complemented by experience in the healthcare field;
- Professional experience in a medical secretariat or hospital environment is an asset;
- An excellent command of French, both spoken and written;
- Good proficiency with IT tools and administrative software;
- A strong sense of organisation and prioritisation;
- Rigour, autonomy and reliability in managing administrative tasks;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of hospitality;
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with interlocutors in varied roles;
- Discretion and respect for confidentiality inherent to the medical field.
