About the job
Lead a team of risk specialists and actively shape the risk-oriented conduct supervision across the UBS Group.
Main tasks
- Professional and personnel management of the group as well as ensuring effective, risk-oriented and forward-looking supervisory activities
- Responsibility for UBS conduct supervision and the further development and implementation of the corresponding supervisory programme, including on-site inspections and other supervisory instruments
- Definition of supervisory priorities and audit strategy in the areas of Financial Crime, Market Conduct, AML / KYC, Sanctions, Investment Suitability and Fraud Risks
- Monitoring and assessment of conduct and legal risks arising from the global business model of the UBS Group and deriving necessary supervisory measures
- FINMA lead for the assessment of findings from supervisory activities and audit reports in the area of conduct risks
- Maintaining and developing relationships with national and international stakeholders
Profile
- University degree in law or economics, preferably with a financial economics supplement
- At least 10 years of professional experience in conduct and compliance at banks, audit firms or supervisory authorities, with strong expertise in the areas of anti-money laundering, market conduct and investment suitability
- Several years of leadership experience, ideally in managing recognised subject matter experts
- Strong analytical skills and high quality standards for own work, even under time pressure, as well as high independence
- Convincing and professional appearance in dialogue with supervised entities, even in controversial discussions
- Excellent German skills (C2) and very good English skills (C1), French skills are an advantage
