What you can achieve
- Taking on the central role between construction project organization, operations, real estate, and D&ICT to identify FM requirements early, consolidate them, and purposefully integrate them into projects.
- With a focus on lifecycle and operating costs (LCC/TCO): promoting sustainable decisions and contributing to long-term cost optimization.
- Defining relevant FM data and supporting its structured transfer from construction projects into the CAFM system (waveware).
- Evaluating and implementing forward-looking technologies – from IoT to AI to smart building automation – to further develop digital facility management.
- Creating the prerequisites early for smooth commissioning, including move planning and optimal transition to hospital operations.
- Building knowledge and structures that serve as a foundation for future construction and renovation projects and sustainably shape the FM strategy of the University Hospital Basel.
What you bring
- Several years of professional experience in facility management, construction, or real estate environments – ideally in complex organizations such as hospitals or comparable infrastructures.
- Solid expertise in SIA standards (especially SIA 113/112) as well as lifecycle and operating cost management (LCC/TCO).
- Proven experience in BIM, CAFM systems, and digital processes (BIM2FM, IoT, data management).
- Confident demeanor and the ability to engage on equal footing with project managers, architects, engineers, and hospital management.
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration, strong communication skills, and a structured and solution-oriented working style.
- Innovative spirit and competence to pragmatically and effectively implement complex topics.
