About the job
Responsibilities
- Availability for various kitchen stations in a team of 2-3 employees including apprentices
- Preparing, cooking and plating all dishes
- Independent preparation of the mise en place
- Ordering and goods receipt control within your area of responsibility
- Assisting with menu design and contributing personal ideas
- Main workplace: à la carte bistro with an average occupancy of 30-50 guests per service
- Assignments in catering and production
- Compliance with hygiene standards and safety regulations according to ISO
Requirements
- Successfully completed training as a cook
- Initial experience in a comparable position in upscale gastronomy/hotellerie
- Fluent German. English and French skills are an advantage.
- Passion for food and its creative processing
- Enthusiasm for cooking, motivation and commitment
- Manual dexterity, independent and quality-conscious working style
- Flexibility, reliability and resilience
- Calmness and overview even in the busiest business
- Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays as well as in split shifts
- Neat appearance and good manners
