The Zurich Cantonal Police, with its approximately 4000 employees, takes responsibility for security in the canton. To strengthen our Facility Management team, we are seeking a committed individual for the Traffic Base Urdorf starting February 2027 as:

Facility Management Specialist / Building Management 100%

Tasks

• Planning and independent execution of maintenance and repair work on building technical systems (HVAC, controls and building technology systems) including inspection, testing and repair
• Professional operation and monitoring of technical systems as well as use of building maintenance and goods logistics software (CAFM)
• Analysis and resolution of faults and operational issues, identifying causes, prioritising and initiating sustainable measures
• Mobilising, accompanying and supervising specialist and service personnel as well as coordinating service assignments and supporting integral system tests
• Maintenance and management of buildings, building parts and outdoor facilities including groundskeeping, winter services and operation of required machines and equipment
• Organisation and management of workshop, material storage and workplaces including material orders and implementation of secondary disposal
• Participation in the creation and optimisation of maintenance plans, work processes and material concepts as well as updating technical maintenance documentation
• Involvement in projects in the areas of energy optimisation, renovation, technical enhancement and conversions as well as ensuring energy efficiency, environmental and safety requirements
• Technical support for caretakers with EBA and EFZ qualifications in demanding technical tasks as well as taking on on-call and winter duties and holiday cover within the canton of Zurich

Profile

• Completed technical or craft training (EFZ) as well as a federal specialist certificate in the field of facility management, caretaking, maintenance or a comparable qualification
• At least five years of professional experience in the field, ideally in technical building maintenance
• Sound knowledge in the operation and maintenance of building technical systems (HVAC) as well as handling controls and building technology systems
• Experience with CAFM systems or willingness to gain in-depth knowledge of relevant applications
• Strong manual skills, technical understanding, physical resilience and enjoyment of practical work
• Ability to independently analyse technical faults and operational issues, prioritise and implement sustainable solutions
• Independent, reliable and committed personality with a high willingness to learn, team spirit and strong service orientation (you will be responsible for FM at the Traffic Base Urdorf independently)
• Good communication skills as well as willingness for on-call and winter duties and holiday cover within the canton of Zurich
• Driving licence category B and impeccable reputation
