Nord Anglia Education is the world's largest premium international schools organisation, with a global community of schools across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Our schools offer world-class curricula, including the International Baccalaureate and UK programmes, enhanced by partnerships with MIT, The Juilliard School, UNICEF and King's College London. Every day, our teachers and colleagues help students achieve more than they ever imagined possible.
The quality of our schools and the outcomes with which our students leave them are of critical importance to the fulfilment of our vision and, ultimately, the success of NAE.
The Regional Education Director (NAE) is responsible for leading and managing this work in the region. This includes: leading our self-evaluation processes with schools; reviewing, supporting and advising our schools on how they improve and innovate to respond to their markets; using data to understand school needs and how we support schools to use it effectively to improve student outcomes and experiences; leading the education due diligence of potential acquisitions in region and the integration of new schools in region; and, advising other NAE functions and the regional team on the quality of our schools and how we can best support them through Nord Anglia collaborations and events.
As an educator you’ll bring your deep knowledge of school improvement, organizational change, and data analysis and delivery to this role. You’ll work closely with our school leaders, regional teams and education team members.
Your work will dovetail closely with our professional learning strategy, ensuring that it addresses key issues across our schools and builds the capacity of staff in schools to offer a world leading education.
This role involves substantial school-based work, both in person and remotely, and requires someone who is equally comfortable in the classroom context, the boardroom, and the due diligence process.
Strategy and planning

- Use data to identify trends in educational performance across schools, and establish clear goals and timelines for school improvement.
- Support school leaders in strategic planning and rigorous self-evaluation.
School improvement and quality
- Provide strategic leadership of all school improvement work in the region, including quality assurance processes aligned to the NAE framework.
- Ensure full and appropriate delivery of the curricula offered in schools and support strong academic outcomes across all programmes.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of school improvement activity, sharing findings and effective practice across the network.
- Support schools in building robust systems for collecting, analysing and acting on student performance data.
Professional learning and development
- Support and influence the Professional Learning Strategy so it addresses key issues across the region and builds staff capacity.
- Contribute to the development of NAE programmes, regional conferences and leadership development activity.
- Ensure NAE collaborations are fully implemented in schools and that their impact on student outcomes is regularly evaluated and reported.
Growth and integration
- Lead the education due diligence process for prospective new schools in the region.
- Support the integration of new schools into Nord Anglia, including NAE systems, processes and programmes.
- Advise on the appointment of senior leaders in schools and represent the Education Team on relevant panels.
Relationships and representation
- Build trusted, productive relationships with principals and school leaders across the region.
- Represent NAE at relevant conferences, events and meetings, raising the organisation's profile as a leader in international education.
- Work with the regional Admissions and Marketing teams to ensure the educational offer is well understood and clearly communicated.
Essential
- Significant senior leadership experience in education, with a strong track record in school improvement across multiple schools or a network.
- Deep knowledge of the K-12 range and the ability to engage credibly with school leaders on curriculum, assessment and outcomes.
- Experience working in or with international schools, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities they present.
- Skilled use of data and evidence to drive decision-making and evaluate impact.
- Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Experience leading or contributing to quality assurance processes across a group of schools.
Preferred
- Familiarity with the IB, UK national curriculum or comparable international frameworks.
- Experience of education due diligence or supporting new school integration.
- A background in professional learning design or leadership development.
- Experience working within a large, matrixed organisation.
- A senior, genuinely influential role within the world's largest premium international schools organisation.
- The opportunity to shape educational quality and outcomes across a portfolio of schools in Europe.
- Access to the NAE global network, including partnerships with MIT, The Juilliard School, UNICEF and King's College London.
- Collaboration with a talented, mission-driven team of education professionals across the region and globally.
- A culture that values professional learning, continuous improvement and career development.
- Competitive package commensurate with the seniority of the role.
