About the job
As an Operational Readiness Test Manager (m/f/d), you ensure that new products and solutions meet the requirements for stable, secure, and smooth operation. You are responsible for planning, managing, and conducting operational tests and assessing operational readiness based on solid evidence and test results.
In doing so, you connect Quality Assurance, Development, Architecture as well as Operations and Support, ensuring coordinated preparation for productive operation. With your technical understanding, structured approach, and eye for risks, you make a decisive contribution to successful product acceptance and sustainable operational stability.
What you achieve
Operational Readiness & Operational Testing
Responsible for operational tests to ensure the operational readiness of new products and solutions
Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks through appropriate test measures
Define and control the scope of operational test activities in coordination with relevant stakeholders
Create reliable evidence as a basis for operational acceptance and go-live decisions
Planning & Execution
Plan, prepare, and coordinate all operational test activities
Coordinate test execution with the involved specialist, operations, and support organisations
Accompany and conduct operational tests as well as monitor test progress
Ensure transparent and comprehensible test documentation
Analysis & Collaboration
Evaluate test results and record and track identified defects
Create test reports, final reports, and decision templates
Present test results, findings, and risks to stakeholders
Support the affected streams in root cause analysis and solution finding
Close collaboration with architecture, infrastructure, as well as the future operations and support organisation
Why you succeed
Completed higher education (FH/University) in computer science or a comparable field
ISTQB Foundation Level certification desired
At least 3 years of experience in operational testing or operational readiness testing
Solid technical understanding of complex IT products and system landscapes
Experience with operational and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, OpenShift, or comparable solutions
Knowledge in analysing, documenting, and tracking defects and risks
Ideally experience in test management
Structured and analytical working style as well as strong quality orientation
High communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating with diverse stakeholders
Very good German language skills in spoken and written form (at least level C1)
