To strengthen our financial accounting team, we are looking for a

Financial Accountant

The Merian Iselin Clinic is a state-of-the-art, customer-oriented private clinic with a public service mandate in Basel. Our focus areas are orthopedics, surgery, and urology. With us, you will find meaningful work in a family environment where people are at the center.

Your main tasks

• Maintaining the general ledger of the parent and subsidiary companies, including preliminary IC reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to Swiss GAAP FER, including financial reports, key figures, and various reports, group MIS and subsidiaries
• Maintaining fixed asset accounting according to REKOLE and Swiss GAAP FER
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns, including annual reconciliation
• Reviewing investment and project budgets and assisting with the overall budget
• Participating in the implementation and review of the internal control system (ICS)
• Administrative support and participation in projects
• Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable management

Your profile

• Completed commercial training with further education in finance and accounting or business administration studies (e.g., specialist in finance and accounting / expert in accounting and controlling, certified auditor or equivalent)
• Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, preferably in healthcare
• Very good user knowledge of common MS Office programs (especially Excel)
• You convince through an independent, committed, and precise working style, quick comprehension, resilience even in hectic times, and are also a team player
• Structured working method and networked thinking
• You are open and communicative and appreciate contact with different stakeholders
