About the job
Metalworker / Specialisation in Forging Technology, learn to handle various metals with regard to their shaping. Using large presses and forging hammers, they shape glowing metals into blanks, which after mechanical processing are used in machine, aircraft, railway and vehicle construction as well as in medical technology and the chemical industry.
Your activities and areas of responsibility:
- Read, understand and apply technical documents and tool drawings
- Determine work steps and select suitable tools and working methods
- Design the workplace and set up the forging machines
- Perform hand forging work at the anvil
- Operate forging machines
- Monitor the forging process
- Carry out quality controls
