About the job
Bringing a building out of the ground, robust, beautiful, efficient: more than a job, it’s a tremendous challenge that excites us every day.
Responsibilities, schools, career prospects, atmosphere: on these four topics, internships in companies rarely live up to their promises. At Swissroc, we break the mould.
The internship
A 6-month internship in the Canton of Vaud within Swissroc Construction, our general contracting subsidiary. The internship starts between February and April, depending on your availability and the needs on site. Our interns will be recruited by the end of November: apply now!

Real responsibilities
At Swissroc, a trainee is not there to do the tasks nobody wants. You truly follow construction sites, and responsibilities come as you gain confidence and autonomy. Alongside a construction site manager, you:
Participate in monitoring costs, deadlines and quality of works
Follow up and update the schedule
Take part in tenders, purchasing and negotiations
Contribute to coordinating subcontractors on site
Attend site meetings
Identify and report risks and contingencies
Participate in quality monitoring until the resolution of defects
Contribute to the administrative tasks of projects
"By the end, they have gained the necessary experience to become site managers." Edgar Simoes, Director of Realisations
What’s on the programme?
Apartments, villas, offices, industrial buildings, both renovation and new construction. Prefer luxury? You’re in the right place. Want fewer responsibilities on a large site, or more on a smaller one? That’s possible.

Tools?
Procore, our site management platform, absorbs a good part of the administrative work and repetitive tasks. You are regularly trained on it. You also learn to manage a project with BIM (Building Information Modelling): the 3D digital model brings all trades together in one place.
And afterwards?
In recent cohorts, three quarters of our trainees received a fixed contract offer at Swissroc Construction.
A full place in the team
You are invited to all our events, about fifteen per year:
The major events: end-of-year party, annual meeting
Our partnerships: Escalade Race, Race for Gift benefiting the Cansearch foundation, Genève-Servette HC matches in our VIP box
Afterworks, as well as causes and initiatives you propose
You also have access to the Swissroc Academy and a discount platform with over 150 brands.
Joining Swissroc Group means being part of a diverse group imbued with a strong corporate culture where fulfilment, commitment and respect are at the heart of our concerns.
Your profile
No specific school required: our teams include about fifty different schools for just over 70 master’s degree graduates. Engineering student, university or HES, in French-speaking Switzerland or France, in construction or civil engineering, you:
have a sharp, constructive and bold mindset, always focused on client satisfaction
are rigorous, responsive and able to anticipate
enjoy teamwork and have good interpersonal skills
have some first experience on site (a plus)
hold a driving licence (appreciated)
are fluent in French, English is a plus
If you recognise yourself in these qualities, now is the time to apply!
The process
An online interview with Fanny from the Talent Acquisition team, to check your fit with the job requirements and your compatibility with our values and culture.

An email feedback from you following the interview
A response from us
