The Office for Labour (AFA) strengthens the economic and employment location Zurich – with around 800 employees at over 20 locations.
In the Unemployment Insurance Department (ALV / KAST), we ensure that the federal law on compulsory unemployment insurance and insolvency compensation is implemented uniformly and fairly in the canton of Zurich.
Your tasks:
- independent processing of short-time work pre-registrations as well as waiver requests for reclaiming short-time work compensation
- independent processing of bad weather notifications
- independent handling of diverse insurance cases (sanctions & decisions regarding entitlement) based on the relevant legal foundations
- drafting of appealable decisions
- obtaining relevant documents and conducting interviews with insured persons and employers
- contact with insured persons, employers, unemployment funds, regional employment centres (RAV) as well as other internal and external bodies
- managing the KAE hotline
Your profile:
- completed 3-year commercial basic training or an equivalent qualification
- at least three years of professional experience in a qualified administrative role in the (social) insurance environment
- completed further training in social insurance is an advantage
- very proficient user skills in MS Office
- confident command of the German language (spoken and written)
- skilled interaction with various stakeholders
- logical-analytical thinking and an efficient working style
