Your new role

As a project manager for road construction, you will take on a responsible role in the further development of public spaces and the creation of an attractive living environment in the city of St. Gallen. You plan, develop, and lead diverse road construction projects, from the restoration of existing road facilities to the implementation of shared spaces and other measures to enhance the urban environment. You accompany your projects from the initial idea through planning and political decision-making to realisation. In doing so, you coordinate collaboration with internal and external specialist offices, utilities, planning firms, and other project participants. In the development of projects, you lead and support a small team of draughtspersons in a professional capacity. You prepare reports and applications for political decision-making processes and represent your projects to various stakeholders. Another important aspect is communication with the public. You organise and support public participation processes, thereby contributing to transparent and constructive project development.

This position is for you if

• You have completed a technical education as a civil engineer ETH/FH/HTL or a comparable qualification and have experience in project management of construction projects.
• You enjoy designing sustainable and high-quality public spaces.
• You are a committed and solution-oriented individual with strong communication skills and social competence.
• You enjoy value-based teamwork as well as exchange with expert committees, departments, and the public.
• You are confident in using common digital work tools.
