About the job
The Board of Trustees of Obesunne has decided to position the institution even more strongly as a competence centre for the elderly and at the same time to integrate it more actively into the neighbourhood. As an important element of this, from the first half of 2018, a public general practice will be operated in existing office premises at Obesunneweg 1.In the coming months, the operational management will carry out personnel recruitment, with job advertisements being placed on various platforms. Medical staff are sought from the field of general internal medicine, experienced in dealing with older people. In addition, the establishment of a limited company - 100% owned by Obesunne - is being prepared, which will take over the operational running of the practice. The necessary structural adjustments for the practice operation are also being planned and could be implemented relatively quickly. If everything goes according to schedule, the practice is expected to start operating in January 2018 and be open year-round from Monday to Friday.
The Board of Trustees and management of Obesunne are convinced that the new offering meets a great need and ideally complements medical care in Arlesheim. Of course, the free choice of doctor for residents will in no way be restricted. The new practice offering could relieve existing general practitioners or cover possible gaps arising from current generational changes, as has already been expressed in various discussions with general practitioners.
Last but not least, the neighbourhood around Obesunne benefits from a highly professional general medical service in close proximity.
