Become an Application Engineer at Ascom – and make a difference that truly matters.
At Ascom, we are looking for a new colleague who will help develop, implement, and support solutions that enhance patient safety as well as staff safety. Our technology makes a real difference in the correctional services and healthcare sector – from hospitals and nursing homes to prisons and institutions – where effective communication in critical situations can be crucial to ensure the right action.
You may have already benefited from an Ascom solution without knowing it. Behind the scenes, we provide mission-critical systems that ensure rapid alarm handling, patient calls, clinical communication, and oversight – so healthcare personnel can respond quickly and effectively. Whether a patient needs water, an emergency cesarean section needs to be performed, staff need assistance, or feel threatened, Ascom technology supports that the right information is delivered to the right people at the right time. And now you can be part of that work.
Your role as an Application Engineer
You will be part of our Danish engineering team, which works with installation, configuration, and support of our solutions – both onsite at customers and from the office. You will have a technically versatile role, where your efforts make a concrete difference for both patients and staff.
Your tasks will include:
Installation, configuration, and upgrading of Ascom solutions at customers
Troubleshooting and optimization – both remote and onsite
Participation in requirements clarification and design of solutions
Documentation and handover to operations and support
Technical consulting and collaboration with colleagues across development, project management, and support
Support of incidents and service requests in close dialogue with customers.
Participation in our 24/7 on-call duty
You will gain insight into the entire lifecycle of our solutions – from planning to commissioning and maintenance.
Who are you?
You are a technically curious problem solver who can maintain an overview and take responsibility – even when it gets complex. You thrive in collaboration and want to make a difference.
We imagine that you have:
Experience with configuration, testing, and delivery of complex SW applications
A technical education (e.g., computer science, IT, electronics, networks, or similar)
Experience with Windows Servers and network infrastructure
Knowledge of databases (SQL) and SSL certificates
Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux
Ability to read and document technical systems (IP plans, network diagrams)
Good communication skills – both verbally and in writing in Danish and English
If you have experience with project deliveries and customer service, it is a big plus – but not a requirement.
What do we offer you?
At Ascom, you will be part of a strong technical and collegial community. We work together, share knowledge, and help each other. You will receive:
A meaningful everyday life with technology that makes a difference
Thorough onboarding and professional training in our solutions
Access to local and global projects and technologies
Good development opportunities and the chance to shape your role
A flexible workplace with offices in either Aarhus or Vallensbæk Strand
A strong community with social activities
