Development Engineer Simulation
YOUR CHALLENGES
- Support product development by conducting advanced simulations in structural mechanics (FEM), thermal analyses, and elastomers
- Promote innovations by actively participating in technology and product development cross-functional projects
- Identify and recommend design improvements based on simulation results and proven engineering methods
- Plan and conduct laboratory experiments to validate simulation models and support model development
- Integrate simulation and experimental data using metamodeling techniques to improve prediction accuracy
- Build and maintain strong external networks with research institutions and development partners to stay at the forefront of innovation
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by actively participating in our competence communities
YOUR SKILLS
- Education: Degree in engineering or applied sciences with a strong mechanical focus
- Simulation experience: Proven experience in structural mechanics and finite element analysis (FEA), ideally with Ansys Mechanical
- Programming skills: Familiarity with programming, preferably Python, to support simulations and data analyses
- CAD skills: Experience with CAD tools is an advantage, especially Siemens NX
- Practical & systematic thinking: Ability to combine hands-on experiments with a structured, analytical approach
- Teamwork: Enjoy collaborating in diverse, global, and fast-paced teams
- Analytical & communicative skills: Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication of technical concepts
- Thermal analyses: Solid understanding of heat transfer principles and their application in an engineering context
- Language skills: German & English
