Assistant Physician Gastroenterology and Hepatology (a)

This is what the professional everyday life looks like

• Structured training to become a specialist in gastroenterology at a university training centre of category A
• Participation in the broad outpatient and inpatient care in gastroenterology and hepatology including on-call duties with background support
• Performance of all modern examination methods: endoscopy including interventions, abdominal sonography, liver biopsy, ascites punctures, etc.
• Participation and active involvement in internal training events of the clinic
• Collaboration with referrers, day clinics and other specialist departments
• The Clinic for Gastroenterology and Hepatology is associated with the University Centre for Internal Medicine and together with the Clinic for Visceral Surgery forms the Abdomen Centre at the Cantonal Hospital Baselland
• Opportunities to participate in external and internal further training. In case of interest, also involvement in research projects

Competences and potential

• Completed medical studies (Switzerland or equivalent) including MEBEKO recognition
• Advanced internal medicine training or FMH specialist title for General Internal Medicine
• Self-understanding for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
• Enthusiasm for innovation and change
• Team-oriented, resilient and communicative personality
