Your tasks:
As a valuable support, you actively contribute to the operational day-to-day business and participate in shaping the financial and administrative processes. Among other things, you take on the following tasks:
- support the line managers in developing and preparing decision-making bases
- participate in project management, project monitoring and reporting
- contribute to the various planning cycles, for example in the planning and budgeting process
- conduct target-actual analyses as well as variance analyses
- participate in the preparation of quarterly financial statements and medium-term planning of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, the Olten campus and Dreispitz Basel, and take on closing tasks
- support and participate in various projects as well as administrative activities
Your profile:
You work in a service-oriented manner and, thanks to your great organisational talent, you can face daily challenges and hectic situations with the necessary composure. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and a small team. Ideally, you bring the following qualifications for this role:
- University or university of applied sciences degree in business administration, preferably specialising in finance/controlling, or a Swiss federal diploma in finance and accounting or equivalent further training
- initial practical professional experience in controlling and/or financial accounting
- very good knowledge of Excel (e.g. pivot tables, data analyses) as well as confident handling of other MS Office applications
- high affinity for systems and confident handling of various applications
- independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
- enjoyment in advising management personnel
