The Hochsteig School Home is a special school home for around 46 normally gifted children and
young people with learning and behavioral difficulties (school, boarding school, day school group).
In our central kitchen, meals are prepared for our boarding groups as well as the day school group and the staff. We are looking for an
Assistant Cook (approx. 20% hourly wage) starting September 1, 2025.
You will primarily support our head chef during the school operation weeks on about three
mornings with meal preparation, dishwashing, and kitchen cleaning.
Additionally, you will be sporadically involved in special school events.
You are a team player, reliable, hygiene-conscious, efficient, and resilient, and you work independently.
You have several years of professional experience in the kitchen; a completed vocational training as a cook is an advantage.
We offer you an interesting work environment in a motivated team, good infrastructure, as well as free evenings and weekends. During the 13 weeks of school holidays, our operation is largely closed.
