Contribute to projects that strengthen International Geneva
Your responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you review funding applications from the concept note to the decision stage, and provide cross-functional support to the team in preparing files and monitoring approved projects. You analyse submitted files, examine the budgets and financial statements of project leaders and their partners, and assess the relevance of each application in relation to the foundation’s purpose. You draft briefing notes for the foundation’s bodies and contribute to the preparation of donation contracts. As the direct contact for project leaders, you gather the necessary information, clarify project elements, with a constant focus on the interests of International Geneva. You participate in setting up the monitoring of supported projects (interim and annual reports, impact measures) and contribute to the development of the foundation’s tools, notably the application management platform. You occasionally provide support for administrative tasks and proactively suggest improvements to methods and processes.
Your profile
Holder of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in international relations, management, or an equivalent qualification, you have at least five years of professional experience within an international organisation, an NGO, or another actor in International Geneva, whose news you follow and whose stakeholders you know. Additional experience in project or programme management, consulting, or performance management is a real asset. You assess the feasibility of a project in terms of its deadlines and resources. Comfortable with numbers, you can read a budget and annual accounts and identify key points of attention. Discreet, rigorous, and autonomous, you write fluently and communicate easily with interlocutors at all levels. You appreciate working in a small team and demonstrate adaptability to situations, priorities, and working methods that may evolve. You have an excellent command of French and a very good level of English.
This position is remunerated according to class 18 of the salary scale of the State of Geneva.
It is to be filled for a limited duration of 3 and a half years.
