The Hospital Network AR
The Hospital Network Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the acute hospital Herisau and the Psychiatric Centre AR in Herisau ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.

In the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy under the direction of Dr med Mirjana Vidakovic, Rufin Motzer is seeking a Dipl. Nursing Specialist in the field of gerontopsychiatry from 01.12.2026.
Your tasks
- Responsibility for ensuring and implementing high-quality nursing and care for the residents
- Planning and evaluating the nursing care of the residents
- Conducting and organising group activities as well as planning and conducting individual conversations
- Co-shaping the daily group routine
- Maintaining contact with external reference persons
Your profile
- Completed training as a Dipl. Nursing Specialist HF
- Experience in long-term care is an advantage
- Flexibility and interest in supporting teams on various wards during shortages
- Interest in collaboration within an interprofessional treatment team
- Willingness to work shifts in a 24-hour operation
- Enjoyment of situations that are sometimes unpredictable
