About the position
As an Assembly and Testing Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and testing prototypes as well as small production runs of our UAV systems. Working closely with the Hardware and Software teams, you will ensure that each product is assembled, wired, and tested to the highest quality standards before validation and deployment.
This role combines mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, soldering, and functional testing activities.
You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining assembly and test documentation, including bills of materials (BOM), work instructions, and test procedures, to ensure efficient, reproducible, and high-quality production.
Furthermore, you will contribute to the organisation of the laboratory by managing components, tools, and stock to guarantee material availability and maintain a structured and efficient working environment. Your work will play a key role in prototype development as well as small series production activities.
Your responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Hardware and Software teams to continuously improve system performance and reliability.
- Participate in initial testing phases in collaboration with Hardware and Software engineers to ensure proper functioning of components and systems from integration onwards.
- Contribute to the integration and comprehensive testing of systems, ensuring coherent implementation of mechanical, electronic, and software elements.
- Perform wiring operations ensuring reliable, neat connections in accordance with best practices.
- Carry out mechanical assembly, drilling, wiring, and functional testing of prototypes and equipment.
- Manage stock and inventory for the R&D team to ensure availability of components and consumables.
- Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOM), assembly procedures, and test procedures.

You appreciate working in a laboratory and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop, test, and improve new products.
You are proficient in using common laboratory equipment to diagnose, validate, and troubleshoot electronic systems.
Organised, you understand the importance of precise documentation, good component management, and maintaining a clean and efficient working environment.
Required profile
- Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as an electronics technician, automation technician, electrical installer, or equivalent technical training providing solid mastery of electronic systems.
- Experience or ease with mechanical work, including drilling, assembly, and electrical wiring.
- Proficiency in soldering and electronic assembly techniques.
- Good command of laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes and signal generators to analyse, validate, and diagnose electronic systems.
- Minimum English level B2 (CEFR), both written and spoken, enabling effective collaboration within an international team.
