About the job
As part of the development of our activities, we are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer specialised in electronics to strengthen our Supply Chain & Manufacturing Units team.
A true quality reference for our electronic suppliers, you intervene from the product development phases through to series production to ensure the conformity, robustness and performance of the electronic components and sub-assemblies integrated into our mechatronic solutions.
You work in an international environment in contact with the Purchasing, Quality, Industrialisation, Electronic R&D teams and strategic suppliers.
Within the Supplier Quality team, you are the quality reference for a strategic portfolio of electronic suppliers. You ensure the robustness of electronic components and sub-assemblies throughout the product life cycle, from development to series production. The activities described below are directly derived from the Supplier Quality Engineer job description.
In this context, you will be required to:
- Manage the quality of a panel of electronic component and assembly suppliers.
- Participate in the selection, evaluation and qualification of new suppliers.
- Support product developments by leading APQP processes and PPAP validations.
- Conduct process and system audits at suppliers according to applicable quality standards.
- Participate in feasibility reviews and the launch of new projects.
- Verify the control of electronic manufacturing processes and associated control means.
- Handle supplier complaints and lead problem-solving approaches (8D, QRQC, root cause analyses).
- Technically challenge suppliers to ensure root cause identification and implementation of effective corrective actions.
- Monitor quality performance indicators and develop associated improvement plans.
- Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Quality, Industrialisation, Electronic R&D and Supply Chain teams to secure projects and series production.
- Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronics.
- Good understanding of electronic components, electronic boards (PCB/PCBA) and assembly processes.
- Mastery of automotive quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D.
- Experience in managing industrial suppliers.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and VDA 6.3 standards.
- Ability to conduct supplier audits.
- Mastery of problem-solving and root cause analysis tools.
- Ability to analyse electronic failures and communicate with technical experts.
- Professional English enabling communication with international suppliers.
- Knowledge of electronic manufacturing technologies (SMT, soldering, conformal coating, ICT/FCT testing, AOI).
- Experience in the automotive, power electronics or mechatronics sectors.
- VDA 6.3 Auditor Certification.
Engineering degree from HES, EPF or equivalent in electronics, embedded systems, microtechnology or industrial quality.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a demanding industrial environment.
Proven experience in supplier quality, project quality or electronic development.
Direct experience with a manufacturer of electronic boards or electronic components is a real advantage.
