AutoChem (Automated Chemistry) is a strategic business unit within the Lab division of Mettler Toledo. At AutoChem, we provide solutions to our customers in the pharmaceutical, chemical, CDMO/CRMO and other industries to aid their process development and scale-up activities. We develop synthesis, sampling and reaction analysis and reaction insights tools for scientists, providing them the information they need to deliver life-changing products. We are looking for a Head of Software Solutions 100% (all genders)The head of the strategic product group (SPG) of Software Solutions will manage AutoChem’s software portfolio which comprises of instrument control software, data orchestration, and modeling solutions. Leading a team of product, marketing and innovation experts across Nänikon Switzerland, Dublin Ireland, and Columbia Maryland USA, this key leadership role will drive the overall health of our software solutions for customers, including long term strategic direction and growth in line with the defined strategy, P&L performance, incorporating software business best practices, and advancing organizational capability to serve business objectives.In this role, your responsibilities would include: Accountable for the annual and long-term sales growth objectives for the SPG. Drive performance KPIs on revenue & unit growth, profitability, and a 5-year growth %CAGR. Develop clear product line and segment strategies (core and new) to achieve objectivesDrive market strategy to achieve entitlement market share and open new market segments. Oversee price realization, product sales mix, and evolving external trends to support the sameEnsure business is well organized and operates seamlessly across all areas such as software releases, field training and marketing & value selling tools, competitor assessments, strategic pricing considerations, etc. Incorporate industry best practices into AutoChem’s software business processes in all areas including go-to-market, channel, offerings, commercial approaches etc. Ownership of SPG product portfolio and product life cycles, and development roadmapCollaborate with the Head of Business Development on key partnerships and M&A assessments for inorganic growth opportunitiesDirect new product development teams, via PLM processes, to achieve product portfolio objectives, superior customer outcomes, and deliver on the 5-year SPG strategy. Balance strong PLM adherence with agility. Strong collaboration with other AutoChem SPG Heads, Head of BD, and Head of R&D to integrate insights and define cross AutoChem product/technology-based solutions to address customer needs and contribute to driving future sales growth and profitabilityMaintain strong relationships with key strategic customers, while staying well-informed about current and developing market needsDrive outcomes with a service-provider mindset to the ‘Instrument Solutions SPG’, when it relates to instrument control and associated software packages, required for successful Instrument NPDI projectsDevelop organizational bench strength, and a talent pipeline to support growth and the future direction of the SPGStay abreast of industry best practices and the evolving external environment to adapt the organization with agility
